Colin Farrell plays the antagonist/charismatic neighbor/vampire Jerry Dandrige. Scottish actor David Tennant plays the role of Peter Vincent. The remake was followed by a non-sequel sequel, titled Fright Night 2, which was released direct-to-video on October 1, 2013 by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
